Why I Still Carry a Wallet in a Digital World

A wallet is more than just a holder for cash and cards.
It’s a tiny memory box we carry every day.

Looking through my old wallet:
a crumpled movie ticket from a first date,
a retired metro card that witnessed three years of commuting,
and a note from my mom – the ink is fading, but it warms me every time I see it.

Mobile payment is convenient, and many say the wallet is retiring.
Yet I still keep a slim wallet around.
It saves those little pieces of life I never want to delete,
and when my phone dies, I can still pull out some cash for a drink.

My choice: minimalist design, genuine leather.
Too thick, and it bulges in the pocket; too thin, and it feels cheap.
The right wallet is like a quiet, dependable friend.
